Which software for Trusted Intermediaries

The Helene server works rather well, but

• It has been developed as an experimental rather than production system
• It is mostly home-made and uses few external software
• It has not been designed with inter-libraries communications in mind
• It is not an easy-to-install ready-to-use system

Questions:

• Is it possible to address these issues?
• Is it possible to assemble a coherent software distribution for trusted intermediaries
